Lord Raptor Custom Action Figure

This was a tough mother, but he's finally done! *phew* May I present custom no. 44, Lord Raptor! I'm really getting into these Darkstalkers customs, especially since I got the Graphic File and Sota canned the line, so I felt it fitting to follow up an easy one (Pyron) with a tough one. Some of the parts that went into this...well, let's just say that I had a hard time imagining how I was going to finish this figure, lol. Here's the breakdown (it's extensive):

Head: (believe it or not...) Sota Adon, hollowed out, a little sculpt, and hair added on with bang piece from Sota Cammy. I also cut at the teeth to be able to open the mouth for the removable tongue.
Upper Body: Sota Dhalsim, cut and filed, with sculpt added for spinal bones and the area around the protruding ribs; I used the spikes from a Ghost Rider for those
Arms: Sota Ken with sculpt and wood skewers for the bone protrusions
Hands: Cut and pegged from a Toybiz Venom with sculpt and pegs cut from a lollipop stick
Torso: Sota Adon w/sculpt and lollipop pegs
Legs (Upper): LCBH Anne O'Brien (Lower + Feet): Sota Dhalsim w/sculpted nails and shin guard, elastic bands for straps, GR spikes, and sculpted ripped pant cuff
Guitar: Guitar Hero 2-pack "Flying V" with skull head from Sota Blanka and sculpted hair

Whew! That was quite a project. With regards to the paint, the hardest part was the guitar and the Union Jack on the pants, and almost all of the colours are custom blends. The head was fun, but I remember before I started to re-tool it, I thought to myself that I'll never finish this custom because there's no way this head mod will work; in the end I think it turned out pretty awesome. I also wanted to make the tongue removable since I didn't want it to always be "out there", depending on the pose. Balancing the upper body on such a small mid-section was also a challenge, but I managed to figure out the proper weighting.
Anyway, I really had fun doing him, and I think I may be the first to try, but I gained a lot of valuable experience working on this figure that I will carry over to my future customs. I hope you all like him as I do, and I'll be back shortly with Anakaris, Dimitri, Bishamon, and Donovan, who are all almost done. Never a dull day in the old workshop, lol!

Cheers,

-Renmauzo

Killer--it looks like all your Darkstalkers figures are going to be just as impressive, if not more so, than your Street Fighter stuff. I wish you would've made his little cyclopean maggot sidekick (La Malta or something I think his name is) though.

This is amazing. I love your Capcom customs. Great stuff.
It's a shame Sota canceled their production of Darkstalkers figures due to lack of preorders.
