I actually just finished reading outbound flight and I wanted to make a cedf grand admiral thrawn. I repainted a version of a hasbro grand admiral thrawn with blue gloss paint and a little bit of gold trim. After I had completed the figure, I took a look at the back of the book and realized that his cedf uniform is black, not blue... D'oh!

if you want to get rid of the gloss you could try a matte finish or dull coat, that might work.

I'm really not sure of how you could strip the paint off, I can offer suggestions but they may not work and if your gonna try it, try it on something your not bothered about first, maybe try dipping it in white spirits overnight then giving it a good wash to make sure it's all off before repainting. Like I said tho don't know if it will work

I agree with you on the gloss paint. He is too shiny. It wasn't the effect that I was looking for. I was thinking about repainting him, but I wanted to strip the current job off first. What the best way for doing that? Thanks!

Hmmm?, I like it but I'm really not sure of the gloss paint, kinda makes him look like he's wearing PVC or something, but the paint is well applied

I think the blue gloss looks better than black would, it stands out more. Nice custum, I definitely prefer it to the bland white it was originally. I still think hasbro used too light a blue for his skin though, every illustration of a Chiss I've seen was dark blue. But a great custom on your part, really liked it!
