Fantomex Custom Action Figure

Custom #:16337
Name:Fantomex
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:BurchCustoms
Date Added:July 22, 2009
Base Figure:Hml Series 3 Astonishing Cyclops
Height:6.00 inches
Never read a comic with this guy, but thought he had a cool back story and look, so decided to make him.

Little background:
Fantomex, Jean-Phillipe, or Weapon XIII was a super soldier made using Sentinel Technology. It is he who reveals most of the secrets of the Weapon Plus program to the X-Men.

He is one of the most mysterious figures in the Marvel universe, mainly because he lies about just about everything. He speaks with a French accent, but he has revealed that it is because he finds it distracts and annoys people. Many of his powers are basically unknown. He claims many powers he has never actually shown in the comics. He has displayed a telepathic ability he refers to as "misdirection" and the ability to use auto-hypnosis. He also has superhuman agility and strength. He is an expert marksman, skilled hand-to-hand combatant, great liar, and a very good reader of body language.

Recipe:
Started with an HML Series 3 Astonishing Cyclops. Removed all the piping on the figure and added new piping with fishing line. Gave him HML Two Pack Ultimate Nick Fury Trench coat (without the sleeves). The head is an altered HML Two Pack Ronin head. Cuffs are shrink tubing. Not sure where the guns came from. Full paint.

The last picture would have been closer, but I was going from memory......

feel like I do. since I started the whole customizing thing, every time they announce a new line, a least half of them have been planned for a custom, with parts bought, or they have already been finished.
for example, of the newly announced choices for three packs:
finished.
Deadpool (parts bought. original already owned.)
Valkyrie (parts bought)
Bi-Beast (parts bought)
Bag Head Spidey (parts bought)
Hood (parts bought)
Terror Inc. (parts bought)
Constrictor (parts bought)
Fantomex (finished obviously)
(finished. different version, but still...)
(finished x3. again a different version, but...)
Warpath (finished. pictures coming in my x-force count down to 100 customs)
(finished)
that leaves six out of 19 that I have not already put money into. same has happened with nearly every line since the galactus series....
anyway, thanks again, every one. appreciate the love.

my timing is killer, isn't it. probably means this figure will get recycled, sadly.
I was pleased with him. thanks for all the positive comments, guy.
