As country as he wanted to be, this guy could still jam. Even in the middle of a fight. His singing left a lot to be desired though. He was unique in the fact that he was the only Silverhawk that couldn't fly on his on. But hey, he had that cool ship. So who needs wings.
Well I looked at Reed and saw that same expression of Bluegrass' on his face. Plus his build is about the same so I got to work. Pretty easy really. I dremelled his head and cut a slit front to back of the neck. Used some cardboard (man's best friend) for the mohawk and ears, soaked with super glue to stiffen them. The hat was made of thinner cardboard from a toilet paper roll because its curvature with smoothed out epoxy for the brim. Also used apoxie for center of it. The cowboy boots were sculpted with apoxie also after he was balanced on his toes. The neckerchief is made from a twist tie and red electrical tape. His bird guitar, Sideman as he is called is one that came with the original figure with painted detail to look like the show. His main guitar that he called "Hot Licks", was modified from a Guitar Hero axe and also the 2nd one I made. Thank God these came along because the first one I made from scratch sucked. He was painted with FolkArt metallic blue sapphire acrylic. He's the funnest custom I've done yet. Enjoy! His buddies will be along as soon as I put the final touches on them.
