Going for a classic cartoon color scheme with an angry faced original turtle head for nostalgic looks. The toon body serves well for this without the silly toon head. The pupils/eyeballs are left unpainted for now, not sure if I want him to have pupils/eyeballs even though he does in the cartoon.

nice job man. I think he looks better as is, no need for eyeballs, anyway, that's just my opinion, but either way, its a cool custom
