Originally, this custom was not as pumped (with the biceps) and the wing tips were sculpted with apoxie. Aesthetically, the wings were fine, but posed a problem for the collector who in most likelihood would break the wings during excitement upon receiving figure in the mail. So to prevent breakage, found some tiny plastic wings from the doves of an Ozzy Osbourne fig. accessory. They were more flexible and didn't break on bending. Brought in some more muscle and articulation from a ML Thor, replacing the arms/legs. Resculpted the hair/ears and ripped some details in the repaint.
Saw a custom Namor by Cal of CalsCustom that was just brilliant, with a smackin' paint job! And had it not been for his version of Namor, this one would've continued to collect dust on the back burners. Seeing Cal's Namor was enough of a spark to push this custom further, and make it rock.
A wise biker (who also customizes figures from a fiery anvil!) once said "using different recipes makes the custom unique...a one of a kind custom...should be different and special". Inspiration is everywhere and there is a bounty in the Realm!
High-5, thanks for checking this out!
