When Dr. Calvin Zabo drinks a special serum, he transforms into the monstrous Mr. Hyde. He continued a long criminal partnership with the Cobra, and later joined the Masters of Evil, and frequently battled the likes of Thor, Captain America, and the Avengers.
For this custom, I started out with a ML FO Kingpin. I switched the groin area with a Street Fighter figure's, and made serious alterations to the stomach and the coat to 'svelte' him down. The face is from Omega Red, with Doc Samson's hair. For his cloak, I combined a Luke Cage collar with a shortened Black Panther cape. The figure was then primed in black paint, and then dry-brushed green. Finally, I left on Kingpin's pinky ring, but modified it into a skull ring. Hey, if it's good enough for Keith Richards, then it's good enough for Mr. Hyde!

Then, the Kingpin figure was a {rhymes with witch} to open. I'm convinced it and the cockroaches would survive a nuclear explosion! After 'Hulking' out on it a few times, I finally got it open with a hammer and chisel. After swapping groins with another figure, then slimming down the stomach area, came the task of altering the jacket. I was close to throwing in the towel a few times! I had to make countless vertical, horizontal, and diagonal cuts (and then glue them) across the jacket to make it fit properly. I'm convinced I could become a tailor! Finally, after, reattaching the pocket holes, the jacket started to look better, then the paint really did the trick. But I wouldn't want to make this guy again....
