From the influence of H.G. Wells on me as a kid, comes the Nova Walker. I wanted to build a ground up original of sorts with this figure. The legs are spare parts from a Bionicle figure. The rest of the figure is a mix of household plastic parts, copper wire for the arms sealed over with shrink tubing, jewelry wire, Super Sculpey III parts (heads, shoulders, elbows, and hands), vintage watch gears (joints, goggles, and wrap), and vintage springs and fuses.
The legs are fully articulated, and the arms are minimally articulated. There is a red light inside of the body dome with a switch powered by a 9 volt battery.
Paints used were mostly Testors Acrylics, and I learned to do a copper metallic paint job on this custom along with a vintage weathered corrosion wash.
