Unhappy with the DC DIRECT figures arm articulation/pose, I removed the original arm and spliced the stump on to a modified DC Universe Cyborg Superman arm. Afterward, I individually cut and placed each ring into his hand.
I felt a little bit like a jeweler cutting each ring section from the original hand, then cutting out small indentations for them to fit on the new DCUC figures fist. I also used a modified raised shield-decoration from the DCUC Cyborg Supes' figure. The overall appearance really pops when compared to the original.
After repainting the metallic areas, with Vallejo gunmetal and silver, I sealed the entire figure with Vallejo matte varnish (except for the cape). The right arm (or 'punching arm' as I always thought of toys right appendage) now has a wider range of motion.
