Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends

Base Figure:ML Dr. Octopus
Height:6.25 inches
Frog-Man is a comedic superhero who fist appeared in Marvel Team-Up #131 (September 1982) donning a suit containing electrical coils on the soles of its flippers allowing him to leap great distances. Frog-Man had a tendency to capture villains simply by dumb luck and was a one-time partner of Spider-Man.

Been waiting to get hold of a ML Doc Ock for a while now plotting my Frog-Man custom. Replaced a head with the ML Sinister Six Dock Ock as that one had removable glasses and the eyes are of course the only part the the Frog-Man costume reveals. Sculpted the "frog head" costume with Apoxie Sculpt around that head. Replaced the feet with those of an X-Men Evolution Nightcrawler and cut of the twos to sculpt the flippers with Apoxie Sculpt. Drilled holes in the bottom of the feet and glued in place wires and shaped them into a spring form as to appear to be the Frog-Man's electrical coils that allow his leaping. Not sure what the power back pack originated as but came out of my fodder bin. Painted with Citadel Paints.

First up, congrats on an amazing figure. It's beautiful, man! Second, ARRRGGG! This guy's been on my 'to-do' list with the Doc Ock body for months now, and I just got the base figure a couple of weeks ago. And here I thought I'd make an original, never-produced-before custom! Oh well, the good news is that now I've got great reference pics, so thanks.

Dude, this brings back memories...I used to have that issue! If I remember right, he was pretty chubby and had red, curly hair, right? Great job of capturing his likeness in costume! Excellent work!

Morts everywhere are singing your praises! Crazy Quilt must be wondering if you'll make him next!

The springs on the feet? The folds of fabric on the frog's neck? The eyes peeking out from the frogmouth?! ALL AMAZING!! I am unfamiliar with this character, but I *LOVE* this custom. It's just so... FUN!
