I have to say I absolutely love this film, and it is one where you can buy Arnie in his role. Did you know Oliver Stone co-wrote the screenplay?

Anyways, in honour of one of my favourite films, and the 'Govinator' in one of his greatest roles, I give you my Legends Scale, Arnold Conan.

Head: Neca Warpaint Movie Conan (Repainted in dry-brushed skin tones)
Torso, Arms, and Hands: Random TNA Wrestler fodder (With heavily resculpted arms and torso)
Hips and Legs (to calves): ML A.O.A. Sabretooth
Boots: Neca Warpaint Movie Conan

When I got to this guy I wanted him to be huge, but a lot of the part choices I wanted to make just didn't work out proportionally. So by happy accident, I had this torso leftover from, funnily enough, from my Arnold Terminator custom from a couple of months back. Karmic coincidence?
Anyways, the torso fit, but I was surprised to see how small the muscles were, and the abs were actually missing. I mean it was just flat plastic. So I built up the shoulders, back, arms (a bit of veins in the arms as well), and the lats under the arms and around the torso. I ended up with him even larger than his neca warpaint counterpart.
I used the A.O.A. Sabretooth legs because of the material look they have, and their texture (like leather). So I painted with dry-brushed brown and tan. I have a screwed up fluffed brushed I used for the final layer to get a mottled effect to simulate a buckskin leather look.
I made pegs to custom fit the neca boots with epoxy sculpt. I sacrificed a little articulation in the heels for the neca boots, but I really liked the look of them, and heck they are spot on for what Arnie wore in the movie.
The wristbands I added sculpted leather straps on the left band. On the right band, I attached string and threaded it like laces, to where it looks like it's tied together at the top.
Conan also adorns his trusted sword he found, and believes was gifted to him by his god Crom.

Thanks for the views!

Very nice. I just got both movies in a 2 pack recently. I wish he'd make one more when he's out of office, he's old enough to play an older Conan now compared to an older Terminator. Also Arnie heads and wrestling bodies go together pretty well as I found in my Predator Arnie figure I'm working on.

I just wanted to thank everybody who posted their kind words! With such a quick turnover rate of posts, I think a lot of good work is being missed by people in the shuffle. In no time posts are a page or two behind. So thanks for digging through the heap of work!
Madtinker... absolutely hilarious post! It put a smile on both mine and my wife's faces!
thanks again!

Great use of parts to make an amazingly accurate Conan.

Hey stevid! Thanks! I had to sculpt the boot into place like making custom fit pegs, so the boots turn.

Wow sweet Conan PF! Did the boots pop right in or did you have to modify them to make it work? Looks great!
