As a kid, I loved trying to make battle suits for my lego figures to ride in. How else are they going to go toe to toe with action figures like He-Man, The Transformers and Gi Joe??
When I was making my Man-E-Faces custom, I realised the MG RX 77-2 Model kit could quite easily accomodate a lego mini figure. I made some slight modifications to the internal structure, the figue maintains full articulation, ball jointed shoulders, waist, hips and wrists, and Double jointed elbows and knees, as well as a swivel bicep and ball jointed ankles.
I gave the figure a custom paint job, I wanted it to have a military feel. The lego mini figure slots in at the neck, and the robo helmet is secured with a lego helmet glued into it.
