After reading one of the 1990's Marvel Star Trek comics, one in which Trelane and Q switch Kirk and Picard, I decided to do a custom figure of Kirk in the Next Generation movie era uniform (also of note is the fact that this is the same uniform that Kirk is depicted as wearing on the covers of all of William Shatner's Kirk novels).
Anyway, this was a pretty simple figure. I removed the Picard head from the body, and swapped it with the Kirk head. I had to do a little reworking of the neck cavity with milliput and model glue to accommodate the new head. There wasn't too much work done here, but it still came out pretty well.
