Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel vs Capcom

Date Added:March 27, 2007
Base Figure:Snapshot Spiderman
Height:6.00 inches
Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a spider can. And in this case it's look bright and video game-ish! Yep, here's my Marvel vs Capcom2 Spiderman. He's made from a Snapshot Spiderman mixed with a Fearsome Foes Spiderman and a Sinister Six Spiderman all in there somewhere. I resculpted the eyes too. He's painted dark red with orange highlights, no black weblines this time. Same with the blues, I went for multiple shades for vibrant colors instead of my usual black shading. I repainted an old 5" Spiderman vs Strider web-shield accessory and made him a web-throw line from wrapping 3 strands of craft wire together. He's just a nifty Spiderman who will help complete my MvC line. Enjoy!

cool, did you use the art I snaped for ya?
Jin Saotome - Thursday, March 29, 2007
Like, way! Thanks for the art too, I saved it and some others I found of the correct eyes. You guys are extremely helpful! And I already sent in a new submission for Spidey, eh. New description too so it should show up in a few. The eyes make all the difference in the world now. What do the Japanese say? The eyes are the window to the soul?

Much better
Now I can go back to being jealous

Just email the new pics to him and he can swap them for you.
And yes, it is a HUGE improvement. Aren't you glad you are posting here were people make constructive criticism and not just personal insults?

Hey, can someone get CC to delete this entry of Spiderman? I fixed his eyes and reuploaded all new pics! Looks totally different now, so if you could make this entry in my customs go bye-bye. I'd appreciate it!

Fellow MvC fans unite!!
It might be what version of the art you were looking at. They slightly tweeked him from in all 3 of these games.

That's what I get for using the wrong reference art! I now have the player-select half-face to work from and I'm resculpting the eyes. Blah! Thanks for pointing this out, I wasn't aiming for McFarlane eyes but ended up with the sharp spawn-corners.
Kyle Robinson - Tuesday, March 27, 2007
its pretty darn close to the game sprite. especially the body. I think your right though. The eyes look perfect to the avatar on your site but in the game he might actually need THE SLIGHTEST more roundness to them, not quite McFarlane style but you know what I mean I think. awsome mix of body parts too.

The eyes are set right for the MvsC but I think we are all so acustom to his normal lenses that these seem bit too big or not quite the right shape, maybe it s the angle I'm just not sure. But I think your figure is very game accurate as I have the poster and Spidey looks like that. But it just seems off and not my favorite of your piece, which I usually see as flawless.
Jin Saotome - Tuesday, March 27, 2007
Is it the angle of the eyes? That was mentioned, and the more I look at it, the more I think the inside white should of been rounder.
Bob-A-Ferret - Tuesday, March 27, 2007
Kind of have to agree with Penguin however I do think it captures the lookl from the game so great job on making it Mvs Capcom compliant

To be honest Jin, this isn't my favorite figure of yours. I don't really like the eyes at all. I do like the vibrant colors though.
