I won this figure in a lot, and thought it was pretty cool (not to mention apparently very rare). However, it had this ridiculous action figure where you stick a key or something into this HUGE apparatus covering his entire lower back to make him slash or something ridiculous like that. So he lingered for a long time cause I didn't want to bother with removing an action feature.
Then the other day I saw a clip of the old 90's animated series, and noticed that this molds head is a dead ringer for how Wolverine looked on the show. I mean its perfect. However I already have a tiger stripe wolverine in the works, so I figured I'd make this into his favorite costume of mine. Had to grind the whole action feature off, and then completely resculpt his lower back. Of course when I removed the shoulder pads it left big trenches on his traps, so I had to resculpt those too. Then I said what the hell, and put some costume piping on his torso and legs, because I think it looks cool. Added metal claws, and bam, he's done. Overall a really quick job. PS: You know what color yellow coats smoothest over? Yellow.
