This started as a Spidey 2099 based off of the new Spider-Man game coming out "Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions" but I was unable to execute that texture that the spidey in the game has so I settled for a hybrid of that Spidey and the comic's spidey. The colors for sure are from the comic's but the style of the insignia and mask are of the video game's.
I plan to make another Spidey that is completely made to look exactly like Spidey 2099 in the Shattered Dimensions game.
Does anyone have any techniques that may give it the same texture like the Spidey from the game or even give the illusion of the texture?
As far as the texture on the game version, that'd be really tough. It looks a lot like the texture on the blue parts of movie spiderman. So if you're REALLY dedicated to doing it, I'd say take a piece of sculpt and press it hard against the biggest part of movie spider man you with that texture (probably his thighs), until you have a mold of the texture. Then you'd have to completely cover the 2099 figure in sculpt, which would require grinding a lot of his present mass down to avoid him being too big with the added sculpt, then sculpt in muscle, wait for it to cure a bit, and then use your mold to press in the texture.
Personally, I think that sounds like a HUGE pain in the @$$, but it would probably look really cool if done right.
