DEADPOOL w/ E.M.O.S - D.I.E. shooter (Extra Mega Over Super - Deadpool Interchangeable Extravagant shooter)
shooter: unknown fodder parts
-I never thought I'd make a deadpool, but hey! there's always a first time for everything! :)
a fellow collector said he wanted a deadpool, just a plain deadpool so he can add it to his collection. but I couldn't just make a "plain" deadpool knowing that there are tons of custom deadpools around so I knew I had to add something to it. something that won't affect the look of a normal deadpool, I have to add something that attaches/detaches easily to the figure so that he can have a normal deadpool to be played/displayed PLUS he'll have the option to just add whatever accessory it is that I'll make.
a LOT of work went into this one so here goes the essay:
-deadpool was made using a moonknight body, all the details in the costume was sculpted. pipings, mask, straps, belt, pouches, etc... even the swords, sword holder and gun holsters were made from scratch (swords were made from metal fasteners and details were sculpted on the handles using waterstop clay. sword holders were also folded metal fasteners and then covered with waterstop. (the sword holder attaches to the back of the figure via peg) the guns were also given some slight dry brushing.
-the shooter, E.M.O.S. - D.I.E. (the acronym was really unintentional. I swear! haha!) was made from salvaged fodder parts (don't know what toy lines though) and is a working disk shooter / rocket launcher (yes you can really play with it, you can target and shoot other figures in your shelf.)
the shooter is composed of 3 main parts.
each part of the shooter is interchangeable and can be attached to each other via peg system and can be used individually/separately. it can be a hand held cannon, a hand held shield, a rocket pack, or you could combine all of them to create the giant shooter accessory.
of course the figure itself (deadpool) is a stand alone and can be played/displayed separately even without the shooter. the shooter on the other hand, can be played/displayed separately as well.
hope you guys like it! comments of any kind will be much appreciated. thanks! :)
although I'm having problems logging on to the custom showcase board... :(
