Well, I'm making a clan out of my fiugres. Red-Black Clan they will be called. The only figures that are in the group so far is Vulcan Spidey and this guy. I made a neck articulation with bionicl parts. The head was a digimon character. I sculpted some parts like the right arm and the shins. The chest area was also sculpted. The sword was scratchbuilt. Thanks for the sheath idea Deadeye ;). I had no more sculpt of any kind so yeah, I used duct tape. Hope you like

MM: Sure why not. Ideas open to everyone.
Shinobi: I would've painted him flat but I had no othe rpaint other than gloss paint. So yeah it turned out glossy
Geki: Thanks, I'll try to make more. I'm running out of figures to use

I used to use gloss to finish my figures, but went with a matte finish. I usually get my whites(which I use for primer)and my finish at this artist store in town, I havent tried spray yet, wanna though. I like this figure though, its very inventive using like 3 different series of figures, love the color scheme. Can't wait to see more from you man.

I like the Anime feel the Digimon head gives that figure. I'm not sure if you are going for a glossy look on your figure or not but if you aren't, try using flat acrylics or spraying you finished piece with a acrylic matte, this not only tones down the gloss but also with seal and protect your piece.
