While browsing a local cheapo dollar store, I spotted a carded set of 5 multicolored ninja toys. All the ninjas had the same body clearly based on the modern Ninja Gaiden, while the white ninja and the yellow ninja's heads looked exactly like the modern and NES version respectively. I bought them for a laugh and never even opened them, until I started working on my custom 3.75 Ryu. I noticed the scarf sculpted into the body was just what I needed for my current project, and when I was finished and still had all the paints out, I decided to repaint the bootleg figures. I just painted the heads and arms, and switched them to the black and blue bodies. I like how they turned out, even NES Ryu's color mismatched head, all part of that crummy bootleg charm. At some point in the future, I think it'd be fun to photoshop a fake blister card for them.
