Okay this guy was inspired by Whiskytango, and the joker he did the other week.
In a thread of his work, a discussion made me think of doing this. It was a challenge to myself to try to make a Ledger Joker without any Ledger parts.
I know it's not perfect, and I took some liberties with it (like the flower-but I think that's a necessity), but I'm happy with it for a completely original head sculpt.
Recipe:
Coat and lower arms: Batman and son Joker
Hands: Spider-man 2 Doctor Octopus
Body: Dark Knight Joker Goon
Head: Random Mattel WWE figure completely reworked/sculpting with lots of different paint layers to mimic worn away/streaked face paint.
Vest, undercoat, and tie: Foam sheeting (ironed thin, cut and painted).
I ended up filling the peg holes (for a change).
Clown mask: Joker goon head, dremilled out, made eye holes, attached mask strap, sculpted up cheeks to match joker's mask, and changed smiling mouth to down turned scowl. Then a total repaint.
Thanks for the view!
I have something to follow up on this that I feel pretty good about in the same vein, and this thread is a whole new level of inspiration, so thanks for that!
Now to get my a$$ in gear!
