Alrighty, continuing on with my Thor-Themed week, we have the God of Thunder himself, Thor!

You've probably seen this recipe already from Lanshark, and Bishart before him, but I was hoping to do their works justice while bringing something of my own to the table. For mine I decided put the boot flares farther up his legs to cover his knees like they do in the comics, to sculpt on some shirt details like wrinkles and the golden piping that goes up on his collar, gave all the black a gray dry-brushing to bring out the details, and went with a much darker silver on his arms and legs.

I also tore out the hanging strap on the Marvel Select Mjolnir, and made a flexible one out of vinyl so that Thor can hold it hanging from his hand like he sometimes does in the comics.

For those who don't know the recipe its as follows:

Head, Cape, Chest Discs, Belt and Loincloth, Knee Pads, and Mjolnir: Marvel Select Thor
Everything Else: MOTUC He-Man

Everything got repainted except his cape, cause it already looked great.

Enjoy guys, more pics in the thread

if you look close you'll see a scar on his head where I started to dremel it down and sculpt the helmet, but I chickened out.. I created one with the Ares helmet and beta ray wings but it was slighty too large. More pratice is called for. Good job again bud.

Thanks man. I love your stuff, which begs the question, wheres your Thor?!
I have done one, its been awhile and I am over due I suppose.

oh sh*t! I forgot about him. I don't know how, cause he's awesome. I remember when I first started I was going to rip it off, but I couldn't find a Lord Thor on the cheap.

Thanks man. Agreed about the recipe. Lanshark did a great job on his. You should see Bisharts original. The armor sculpting is really really subtle and blends so perfectly that its hard to believe it wasn't always there.
Bitchin' comment! Thanks Fitz
Haha, I don't know that yours needs to be repainted. I liked yours, though I missed the helmet on it.

Very cool bro. Awesome paintjob too. I'm gonna have to use your metallic painting technique and do re-paint. Keep it up.

Thanks man, big fan of yours, so its always good to hear from you. I did indeed sculpt it all on. I think you can tell that I started on the left arm and finished on the right, as the right looks way better and much more subtle.
Thanks dude!

This recipe is really cool, if the parts were so expensive I might give it a whirl. Does that MOTU base already have the armor or did you sculpt it? Nice!!
