You need to be 60 to remember these two. Crusader Rabbit was the first cartoon made for TV (as opposed to theatrical cartoons like Bugs Bunny), in short segments, black and white, then color. Rags the Tiger was added later. CR was a precursor to Rocky & Bullwinkle, with the plucky little brain and the big dumb companion and a villain, Dudley Nightshade (like Snidley Whiplash). Watch shorts on YouTube. Crusader is modded from a PVC Marvin the Martian with Evergreen tubes for ears. I also threaded a brass rod down his arm into his body for the pointing finger. Rags is converted from a screaming Daffy Duck: the eyes and face were an exact match, then I filled in under his duckbill with Bondo and notched in the nose. The body is a sacrified Michigan J. Frog upside down, and the tail is a crazy straw from TRU. Note the characters were designed for easy animating, with few curves and many straight lines, even Rags's stripes. Still, a pain to paint. Could have made a knight's helmet for Crusader's opening theme, but didn't.
