A friend gave me the Wal-Mart XMO: Wolverine Cylops/Colossus 2-Pack for Christmas. I already had a movie Cylops and wasn't thrilled with the detail (or rather lack of detail on the Cylops.) But playing around I found the head just pops off, and that most of the other 2-pack heads fit. I love the alternate head from the Ultimate WWII Cap, but prefer the masked look overall for the figure. So when I saw how good it looked on the Cylops body I was pleased. And the figure just kinda had a "Balck ops" feel to it. So I added details like a very dark coat of metalic red on the gloves, and the metallic blue on the chest and collar. Painted the star, there's another on the back but I don't have any good pics form that angle. The shield is scratch built form a wooden hobby disk with a random shoe-lace pieces for the straps to hold it on. The gun is an M-16 from a G.I. Joe and black embrodiery floss for the strap.
Sorry for the one pic being so washed out, but I had to use the bright flash to get the metallics to reflect the way I wanted ont eh body.
I will take a look for this set, as that would make a GREAT S.H.I.E.L.D. Steve Rodgers.
I know a Walmart near me still had them recently, but I never had a use for the Cyke ... now I do!
