The most feared Predator of outer rim is called by the Sinestro Corp. Now, the fear of it's enemies provides the means to the ultimate hunt. Includes a Magnetic Mask, Trophy/Lantern, & comes complete with a ring construct spear and a bloodied GL logo stand!

Recipe:
DCUC Maash (base body, sanded down/re-sculpted, ring cut off and put over a new hand)
LCBH Wraal (hands with new screw pegs added, magnet added to left hand)
MM Batman (Lower legs, spliced into reshaped/dremmed Predator lower legs)
McFarlane AvP Scar Predator (Mask/dremmeled out, & magnets added, lower legs/dremmeled out & shortened, shoulder pad attached with Green Stuff to preserve articulation, body armor also dremmeled out to fit DCUC body)
McFarlane Movie Masters Predator (right forearm, re-sculpted, unmasked head, opened up & 3 magnets added inside, then resealed)
McFarlane Predator, Masked, silver version (left forearm, spine from trophy merged with a random fodder Skull & part of DCUC GL-Lantern)
McFarlane AvP 5" scale figures (fleshlocks transplanted to larger head, wrist blade became a new spear tip)
DCUC Robin (Staff, combined with a wristblade from a 5" scale AvP Predator & sculpt)
DCD Green Lantern stand - bloodied up with Citadel inks (red/fleshwash mixes), and sealed with Citadel spray.

Points of Interest:
Rather than making an interchangeable head system using Canadian pennies/magnets (see the RL Jason custom), I went a different route. Using the Scar Predator head, I dremmeled out until there was only a mask and added 2 flat, square magnets facing out along the jaw. I made sure to make sure their polarity was correct, and matched those I put in the jaw-area of the dremmeled out predator head. I made sure the fit was perfect by doing the mask first/letting it dry - then doing the interior magnets. This way, the still uncured superglue let the magnets go where they wanted, ensuring a tight fit. A larger magnet was placed under the headcrest, which matched up to a trimmed Canadian penny in the mask's crest area. This is a technique I'm using in other Predator customs now. :)

Added a magnet to the shoulder/back and sculpted over it. Added another to the spine/lantern's end, and other to the hand. The Predator can carry it slung over his back, or in his hand.

I was really displeased with the sloppy factory paint apps, so I repainted the whole figure with Tamiya flat black & yellow, which has a slight glossiness to it. Their glossy colors (denoted by X-COLORNAME, rather than XF-COLORNAME, meaning flat) look amazing when dry, and I was really pleased with the Lemon Yellow I used.

Added a custom printed waterslide decal of the Yellow Lantern Symbol, and let that dry. Afterward, I added some blood effects near the trophy-shoulder, wristblades, and chest. The figure was sealed with Vallejo Glossy Varnish (armor), and Vallejo Matte Varnish (everything else). Ring Construct effects done with Gunmetal/Chrome Tamiya with a Clear yellow overcoat.

Before I finished, I decided to give him glowing yellow eyes: and I'm really glad I did - I took one look after painting them and muttered "Wow, that's... creepy." I hope you agree. :) Be sure to check out more pictures posted in the thread!

This guy was a blast to make, but sadly he's another request so he's destine for the outer rim. ;) Coming up within the next month will be Orange Lantern Leatherface and Indigo lantern Michael Myers. :)

Wow! What a great idea! I love that you made the helmet black. I am quite surprised that the Predator head does not look way over-size for the DCUC base figure. Great work!
