A bit of an obscure choice, this version of Amon Sur appeared in the "Tales of the Sinestro Corps" comics. I started with Abin Sur (Amon's father), swapping out his forearms for the recenlty released Low/Maash figure's. I added SC Batman's hands, which required cutting off the peg and replacing it with small screws. The pegs on that Batman's hands were really long. I broke Abin down in order to repaint the inside of all the joints. I used vinyl-covered twist ties that I cut and glued on to his legs for the stripes. The design on the feet was altered because I didn't like the odd design he featured in the comics.
I mixed Silver and Clear Blue paints for the metallic blue on his forearms bracers. I used Cobalt Blue for the design on his torso. This costume features a glossy outline of the blue design. I used Semi-Gloss Black, but it didn't show up to well, so I may look into redoing it when I get some Glossy Black paint. Anyway, enjoy and check out my blog for more action figure fun!
