Howdy! This is my first competition entry and I am extremely glad to finally be in one. This is my dante from the upcoming dmc game coming out at the end of 2011. This was a particuarly complicated custom and took up the best of three weeks.
Now onto the recipe:
Head: spiderman 3 sandman.
Upper torso: spiderman 2 figure
Legs: spiderman 3 figure + sculpt
Hair: sculpted
I gave him an entire tip to toe paintjob and gave him various accesories. I sculpted his jacket and added fabric at the top to allow arm articulation. Where his jacket meets his legs, I used the bottom of an obi-wan cape made from flexible rubber to allow leg articulation. I ordered one of these see-through figure stands which allows you to make the figure do mid-air positions but unfortunately it didn't arrive before deadline. The english flag on his arm is printed and stuck with superglue because it was too hard to paint (lol). Whilst I was writing this I only just realized that my figure is completely composed of spidey film figures (pure coincidence but really weird). Just as a finishing touch I made him a ciggerette and made some smoke out of cotton.
