So I've been wanting to use this Maximum Sweat figure for a custom for a while and just didn't know what to use it for. I had thought of doing some newer wrestler or maybe a DP but wasn't quite sure till I saw this contest posted. Then I knew I had to make a Zangief. I'm not a huge Street Fighter fan but I just saw Zangief in this base and had to bring it out.
I filled the screw holes with sculpt and added the beard, mohawk, chest hair and sanded off some of Kane's wrestling tights so it would seem that it was just skin and not tights. The belt, wrist bands, and bands on the tops of the boots are all wide rubber bands. He was painted with model master acryl and some other brand for the yellow. I decided not to put the "scars" on him cos I've seen pics of him w/o em and he looked a lot better to me.
Zangief fits in to the contest because he's in the capcom game Street Fighter.
