Base figure is an lcbh marv, hands and head from lcbh savage dragon
I made savage dragon's left arm longer by cutting it from the biceps and forearm. I put metal wires inside to reinforce it and then cover it with epoxy and sculpted new muscles on the whole left arm. I also sculpted the elbow pad and the glove details.
sanded off the cross necklace on marv's neck and chest and made sure the stripy texture of the clothes stay the same.
The robotic right arm was made from a cheap toy gun parts and some plastic strips that were glued together and sculpted over. The elbow joint was a cut up bootleg mini robot joined together to a heavily modified/cut up savage dragon bicep and elbow joint.
I couldn't find a robot hand/fist that is big enough so I just re-sculpted savage dragon's right hand and fingers so that it'd look like a robot's hand.
Most of the work on this figure went into planning and making the robotic right arm. Well, I'm happy it turned out ok.
the bottom part of the right arm has a working opening shaft that looks like a cannon shell dispenser.
The head was a re-sculpted savage dragon head, added sculpt over the top of the eyes, sculpted the jaw line so it'd look wider, removed the mohawk fin and sculpted the hair.
Back pack was from the left over bootleg mini robot re-sculpted and glued together so that it'd look like a... Ummm.. A back pack of some sort. Hehe!
The straps were from an old leather bracelet that I cut up into small strips.
Experimented with the paint apps, I'm pleased at how the washes on the skin tone looked. tried some "speed painting" with the help of a hair dryer. Hehe! At last! I made it! I thought I'll never make it to the deadline.
Here's one super pose-able major dutch schaefer ready to kick some old school arcade alien butt!
Hope you like it guys! :)
