IMO, Mimics like Amazo, Super Skrull, Mimic and Adaptoid make 4 awesome villains! Super-Adaptoid was made 99% outta ML 1 I'm, Wasp wings(I lost the other 2) Sculpt 4 the Cap scales, right glove, head. The red blasts are toothpicks(?!) That my wife had on her martini...the lightning effects are twisties- SHOUTOUT 2 MADTINKER 76 WHOSE THE 1ST I SAW DO THIS!
The Super-Adaptoid debuted in the title Tales of Suspense, being created by scientific organization A.I.M.. The character is an android containing a shard of the artifact known as the Cosmic Cube, and is programmed to defeat the hero Captain America, which it nearly does after copying him after impersonating Jarvis and dropping a pill into his tea to drug him. The Adaptoid is unsuccessful and apparently destroyed after falling into a river,[1] but eventually comes into close proximity to the superhero team the Avengers, and is able to copy the powers of all heroes present with its photographic vision. After a brief battle the Adaptoid escapes, believing - incorrectly - that Captain America has been killed.[2]
