I'm a huge fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and while I was excited that Jakks would be making 4" figures, I was a bit disappointed with their initial offerings. So I went to work.
First up is everyone's favorite rogue, the charismatic and enigmatic Captain Jack Sparrow!
There was lots to love about Jakks' Jack, but he was definitely lacking some things to make him worthy of the name. I kept the head and torso. I added arms from the Indiana Jones line. I used WWE legs to add articulation and then transplanted the Jakks boots.
I also adjusted Jack's head a bit. I removed the hair, shaved down the head and replaced the hair so it would sit a bit lower and make his head look less enormous. Finally I did a full repaint and here's the end result.
