The leader of the Celestials at last! I finally got around to making this guy and it was a TON of work/sculpting, but I'm rather pleased with how he came out. I tried to stay faithful to the comics, but made a few tweaks here and there to the armor design.
Head was sculpted completely from scratch(Tripple H head was removed) and done by sculpting multiple layers on top of each other until I got the correct relief that I wanted. The weird branch thing off the side was done in multiple parts over a few days and is made mostly out of clay, with the main lateral extension being the only structurally supported part that's sculpted over something (a toothpick).
Arms were resculpted to give a more even, armored, appearance rather than the super-defined biceps of the wrestler.
I used a few different references for this. I really liked the candy-apple red color that the Tamiya clear offered, but I wanted the main parts that were sculpted onto the torso to appear glowing as they did in the Eternals, so I did a flat, bright Vallejo Game Colours Red for those parts, to contrast from the regular armor. Shoulder pads were sculpted to hide shoulder rubbing and was actually found in some reference art to support the decision.
Resculpted the thumb/parts of the first two fingers so that he could have a big, "hitchhikers" thumb for judgment. Added some paint detail due to its prominence in the comics.
Skirt's a bit larger than in most reference pictures, mostly due to the more narrow hip size of the wrestler in relation to the body. Either way, it was cut from foam and done in two parts. This was probably one of the more difficult parts of the figure.
Thanks for looking; there's more pictures with a few different lighting options if you're interested!
