took a icicle figure, mr fantastic movie head, and bizzaro's hands. I used wax and sculpted swampthing's face onto the figure and then took a impression of it. after that I boiled the wax out of the impression and painted several thin layers of latex into it. after it dried I peeled it out and attached it to the figure so that you have movement side to side and still have the vines that come off the chin! after that I painted the figure and sprinkled foam grass on it and let it dry. then I painted over the top of it to give it a swampy look and not a moss man look. after that I took a small bur and cut holes and lines in him for depth and detail. then I took hot glue and made the tree roots and painted the whole figure. Ive been working on this figure for about 2 months and I hope it looks as good to you as it does to me :)
