HALLOWEEN: Michael Myers Indigo Lantern Custom Action Figure

Custom #:29407
Name:HALLOWEEN: Michael Myers Indigo Lantern
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Green Lantern
Creator:blaynescott
Date Added:May 9, 2011
Base Figure:DCUC Black Hand / various
Height:6.00 inches
Rage grows from murder, hope from prayer. Even to Michael Myers, compassion is offered to us all. Once a Red Lantern, Myers conversion to the Indigo tribe now allows him to channel other emotions without being affected by them.

Receipt:
DCUC Black Hand (torso/pelvis/legs + modified hands)
MEZCO Heroes figure (coat)
DCUC Starman (shoulders + 1/2 bicep)
MEZCO The Spirit (1/2 bicep + a shortened lower arm + hand joint)
MEZCO H2 Michael Myers (modified mask, hair, knife)
DCD Indigo Lantern figure (lantern staff, stand)
Testor Decal paper (white background)
Vallejo & Tamiya Acrylics, Citadel Washes/Inks

I found that the head from the Mezco Myers was a bit out of scale with the DCUC body once all the parts arrived. To fix this, I removed the hair, and took out the googalie-eye inset inside the head. After dremeling out the head, I warped it a little (cutting away from the mask's back), I made it fit in scale with the base figure's size. I cut down the eye insert, painted it, and installed it along with the hair on top of a cut down DCUC fodder head to maintain articulation.

The rest was alot of splicing with finishing nails and superglue as rebar. I spliced the biceps together, and the DCUC hands (hollowed out to hold accessories) spliced on to the NECA Spirit hand joints. After the figure was resculpted and repainted, I joined all the parts together and painted it with Vallejo and Tamiya acrylics. I then added the decal. After it set for a day, I added a layer of grime and blood with the Citadel washes and some drybrushing.
He's been sealed with Krazy glue on his joints/rub areas, and Vallejo Matte varnish.

This is the last of the HORROR LANTERN series I've made - at least for now. :)

PJCustoms + DeathX (+ everyone else whose commented since!): Thanks for the praise! I'm overjoyed that people liked the concept so well. I realized when searching up reference art for the lantern costumes that there are a lot of Lantern customs out there (a ton on theFwoosh forums), but I was happy to see that 80's and 90's Horror Icons were an untapped resource for combining with the various lantern hues. A lot of credit goes to 'Justin', the fellow who commissioned these beauties. We worked collaboratively on which characters best represented each spectrum, and then went back and forth on the details. He has some ideas for future ones, (as do I) - so hopefully we'll see some more before 2012. ^_^
Here's some additional shots of the Indigo Myers. Enjoy!
