Good day guys! Here's another Liefeld creation for you. It's the ex-villain, Deadlock! By the looks of him, he's based on some obscure war-freak, hero from Marvel that has claws popping out of his knuckles. What kind of power is that :D? This figure was made from the following parts: ML6 Wolvie head, FO Punisher body, Ryu fists.
More/bigger pics can be seen when you enter the thread. Hope you like him. God bless.
@Rebel – Cool summary of a Liefeld book in just a few lines .
Even though I'm not a fan of the character, I think you did a great job as usual.
As for the fists, a lot of thinking goes into the design process...
Dave: "Deadlock is some hand-to-hand-guy. Open hands... he slaps his oponents? He needs scary fists!"
Jeff the Corvette: "OK. We got Wonderwoman, Robin, Shazam and Ryu fists..."
Dave: "Let's go with the Ryus! They look harder !"
Jeff the Corvette: "That would be $3"
Dave: "Three dollars!?! "
On a different note, a guy who is completely ignorant to the customizing processes and sits in awe of what you do is led to ask a lot of questions when he sees magnificence born from mediocrity, which is what I would consider the better ML figures. So, for a guy who still doesn't know exactly what it means to dremel, what is the decision process that leads to a, "Let's go with Ryu's fists for this figure"? Seems like such a small aspect of the figure, yet it also seems like the decision is purposeful and considered much, which is one of the reasons why you are so good at what you do. My customizing-ignorant brain just can't wrap around the concept of choosing all the way down to the fist level, which is why I am a customer and not a customizer I guess. Well done, as always.
