Basically, this is a character I did for some Earth-2 Superman fan fiction that has yet to be posted (maybe someday). The character of Bonechill was originally created for the short-lived 1988 Ruby-Spears Superman animated series and was a man named Chilton Bone who used a mystical amulet called the Talisman of Ola to transform himself into a skull-faced sorceror named Bonechill with the ability to bring to life, albeit temporarily, creatures and monsters from horror movies and tv shows. Using this as the basis for my fan fiction, I kept the character's history pretty much the same, but just slightly altered his look and had him as an enemy of the Earth-2 Superman's son, Clark Kent, Jr., aka Superman 2.

This was a fairly simple custom to do. I removed the Anubis head from the existing body, leaving the neck and neck ball joint completely intact to accommodate the new head. Next, I repainted the neck and head in flat white. Once the white paint on the head had dried, I repainted the empty eye sockets in black to give it that otherworldly and sinister look. Once the paint was dry, I added an amulet prop from a Buffy the Vampire Slayer Wesley figure, popped the new head on, and TA-DA...Bonechill!!!!

Please let me know what you guys think of him, and as always, comments are appreciated..

Thanks. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to doing a cartoon accurate version of Bonechill.
