Another custom in volume II of my THE INCREDIBLE HULK'S GREATEST HITS series. So far in this volume, I have The Maestro, Mongu, The Thing, Containment suit Sandman, a savage Hulk, Hulk purple speedos(lol),I always loved the classic Machine Man and a few others I cant think of!
I always loved Machine Man and he appeared in several issues of the Hulk back in the late 70's, with one the of comics titled THE MONSTER AND THE MACHINE! He is a hard booger for the Hulk to destroy with that rebuild self mechanism. My heart went out in sympathy to the Machine who gave it his all and never give up against the Jade Giant!
I was inspired to make this figure after seeing a heroclix version.
Recipe: Toybiz Mr.Fantastic body, dow rods for the arm, leg and neck extensions. The rigth arm extension is from a titanium Doc Ock. Head is a DCUC Firestorm with some sculpt and vinyl to finish the detailing. Aaron Stack head is a XMEN Movie Cyclops. The torso can seperate and has magnets to connect them. An alternate destroyed lower torso was sculpted to fit over the seperated upper body. Filled in peg holes, rubber bands for arm and leg bands and belt. Hands and feet from a Toybiz Banshee.
The neck extension is about 5". The left arm extenison is 10". The 2 leg extensions are 5.5" each. Altogether he stands 17" with the leg and neck extended. You can use the extension in various different poses. Most people know I don't care if my custom figures are very poseable or not, because I display them and leave them alone. I'm more into statue type custom figures personally, but I love them all and customizers who make the customs very poseable are very inspiring to me, especially if you can minimize joint rub. Well, this figure has all that. poseablitly and no noticeable joint rub(in the poses I've had him in, not saying that none may occur with rough handling). Anyways, thank you all for looking and reading this long winded write up!
