Base Figure:DC Universe Elusive Bright Blue Superman
Height:6.00 inches
I got a hold of a few of the bright blue figures for just this reason… plus just a little curiosity about these rare guys. Simple head swap and decal job and this is as about as quick and dirty as you can do it. I didn't swap out the hands, but I may try. This bulky body just makes for a beefier Gary Frank superman really. But I still dig it as another option. I've seen plenty of this one done before but I had to take my stab at it. Phone Booth is handmade from Comic Book boards, Brushed Aluminum Vinyl overlay and Figure packaging plastic. I'll post more pictures with it sometime.

I know it's more of a comic body, but I still think this is your best Reeve figure!

It's a nice likeness for the stock body but I still like doing the work from reference. I've slowly been adding to my repertoire of skills and disciplines. Looking at my very first I posted and then my last this has been a labor of big geek love for my favorite childhood hero. MORE TO COME!!!

What's with those bright blue supermans? Were they meant to be released or what's the story with them?
GeekSummit - Friday, July 1, 2011
I'm not completely sure myself. I've heard it was to be released with Bizarro... or an All-Star release... a Super Powers reference... An error... A test shot... I do know that whatever the source there are two versions if not more: "clumsy S" (with no emblem on cape) and the "standard S" (with emblem). I have both. Plus it seems they have changed the way the neck peg attaches to the body so it's atleast more of an effort than an error. That leads me to believe these have been reworked and developed over time atleast. Anybody else know anything?

I want to make more buildings n stuff. But I do some low budget 3D too. I really want to animate with these. I've done some short low frame rate stuff but nothing great. Good soundtrack though. Maybe I'll post that soon.
