I almost (ALMOST) held this one back when I saw the Dearly Departed Contest. But here it is, Amon Sur version 2.
I did the first version a few months ago, and was pleased at the time, but after a while the sloppy sculpting (it was my first figure attempting to use sculpy) and inaccurate details got to me. After finishing I noticed a few more details I got wrong but it this version is much closer (I did take a few deliberate liberties such as the belt). I used the Rise of the ALpha Lanterns storyline from my Rage of the Red Lanterns TPB as reference.[See third pic for a reference shot] I noticed after finishing that he doesn't sport the regular SC Armband and I got the "dots" on his left gauntlet on the inside of the arm (ooops!) Overall I'm happier with this version, and who knows, maybe I'll try version 3 for the contest...
