Kobra is a DC secret organization of your typical "badguys" ..they do bad guy stuff and Batman stops them. They have about 4 episodes in Batman Beyond where they are the main villains, and this guy is the typical Kobra goon that does the dirty work on the street. If I had enough figures, I would army-build him. They don't usually carry the hand blades, instead opting for pipes or whips or whatever they can pick up, but since I have limited figures atm I opted to let him carry the blades so I could show them off; Usually the Kobra Lieutenant with the green body and black chin would wield them.
I did a simple full body repaint with G W Citadel paints. I did a head swap with a Kree Soldier and painted it. I got a pocket pouch from another figure and glued it to a strip of plastic cut out from a figure box and glued the other side of the plastic strip to the belt, so that the pocket pouch would hang at just the right length and the leg would still retain 100% unhindered articulation.
I sculpted the weapons with Apoxie, beginning with a small amount to make a mold of his fist, and then adding more so that I could achieve the correct shape of the weapons. I cut out some more plastic in the curved shaped for the blade and glued it onto the apoxie. These hand blade weapons snap on and off with minimal paint rub on his fists, and since they only touch his knuckles, you can twist them around to make nice action shots because the wrist is actually swiveling.
Thanks, and I do intend on making the leaders of the Kobra organization soon.
