Rise of the White Lantern:
Henry McCoy (a.k.a. Beast): Indigo Tribe Marvel Sector 2814
The most compassionate of the X-Men, Henry McCoy has worked almost his entire life striving to improve life for all (human and mutant). Whether battling the Brotherhood or in the lab conducting research, his brilliant mind is motivated to helping others. These qualities attracted on of the indigo rings to him, transforming him in to a rallying point for the other emotionally empowered X-Men fighting against their fallen friends and foes.

The figure is made from a HML Nemesis wave Beast, with sculpted elements. Gave the entire figure a black wash to darken the fur as I thought the original figure was too bright, and too flat. Staff is scratch built from sculpy with an aquarium bead at the center. My wife likes this one best so far of my Marvel Lanterns work, saying it reminds her most of compassion, and looks like a "Doctors without Borders" or "Mutantes san Frontieres" Beast.

yeah, I've been wrestling with those recent revelations about the Indigo Tribe myself, but my justification is the Atom was inducted during Blackest Night and he's one of the most compassionate heroes in the DCU. (I made my character selections over a year ago, and am slowly working through them as appropriate bases become available, and funds allow.)

Do not think of my comments as negative just critiques from a nutcase. LOL I really like the fig and am not taking away from what you have done. Just a thought based on what I have been reading until the last few issues I would have been right behind these choices too. Beast would be an easy transformation to dark beast though grey blue fur ohhh tough stuff there lol.

no offense taken, and I agree we don't know enough about the Indigo Tribe (or Iroque herself for that matter) yet. And please keep the critiques coming, how else am I gonna improve.

Oh I planned on it I just don't want to offend people cause sometimes I seem a little callous and well I am. I wouldn't comment if I didn't like your work. Trust me I don't comment on those whose work I dislike, or I can't am repulsed by cause I would be mean. But seriously I like your work and I appreciate a good critique and want more of them myself cause I want to get better too. You did a great job with this fig just with recent stories I would say Dark Beast. but again it looks great and I would have done the same thing until 3 issues ago. For the exact same reason cause Atom would have made you think they where all this way. But now I am worried that these are the Hannibal Lecter's of the universe reformed or put in their place by a ring. Worse than a lobotomy in a way.

Hmmm after the events in recent issues of Green lantern I cannot agree with the choice of Beast. However change it to DArk beast and it would work, Apparently the Indigo Tribe are a bunch of murderous scum who have no real emotions and with out the indigo ring they are well psychopaths to put it nicely. Thaqt said I really like this fig good job
