Here I have the last known photos of what was originally version IV of my Christopher Reeve attempts which never got its own posting. This figure was donated to the SuperMuseum in Metropolis, Illinois this last June. I went with my daughter and it was a good time, its the lower end of the whole Costumed Fanboy scene but still a trip for a 6 year old, and sometimes Daddy too… (Powergirl and 5 flavors of Wonder Woman… Hold my hat). I made this packaging exclusively for the SuperMuseum as a donation to their collection. I've only been one time before and they seem to have a lot of handmade items as well as real movie/tv props covering what now, 80 years of Superdom? So I figure, hey… I've got something to give and what better place for it to be displayed than THE museum dedicated to the Man of Steel. The entire package is styled of course after the marketing of the movies right down to the dedication panel on the back (not shown because of contents leading to contact information, yet still impressive). This is also a "Hemi-Cylindrical" package (rounded front/flat back) made the same way I've done the Super Powers packaging and two of my own custom lines, "Live Action Heroes" and "Comic Heroes"… (had to keep it generic on purpose). This is the first run on this package and I had to streamline & make a second one for presentation purposes. It was a little wonky and I can do better than wonky, and I always print more than I need anyway.
But that's it, I'll go see it next year and maybe it will be in a good spot in the museum… Never know.
