Loki Custom Action Figure

Custom #:31342
Name:Loki
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:tommyx
Date Added:July 26, 2011
Base Figure:Iron Fist
Height:6.50 inches
Loki has plagued Thor and the Asgardians for eons. The God of Mischief has also made enemies with the Avengers, after inadvertently causing the team to form. Loki created the supervillains Absorbing Man and the Wrecking Crew to help him in his battles against Thor, and will ally himself with anyone to continue to cause chaos.
I finally tackled this one! I couldn't stand looking at the withered old man Toy Biz put out any longer, and wanted a more classic-looking Loki. The base figure is Iron Fist, with a Quicksilver head, and Cyclops feet. All the other accessories are from the pre-ML Loki, including cape, shoulder pads, gauntlets, head gear, and crystal ball. Other costume details were made from label tape. For the paint, I opted for metallic green, to match the gold/brass paint, to give his costume an armoured look.
Thanks for looking, feel free to comment, and Make Mine Marvel(Legends)!

'til next time,
Chris

oh is there any chance we can see more details of the head job?
tommyx - Thursday, August 4, 2011
Sorry I didn't take any WIP pics. For the head, first I removed Cyclop's face, and replaced it with Quicksilver's. I sanded down the ears. I added label tape to where I joined the two pieces to make the 'cowl'. Then I added a rubber band for the headband, painted, and added the pre-ML Loki pieces. Hope this helps! Thanks for your interest in this figure, pipecito!

Great look .... it's a beautiful work

Very cool, Iron Fist's body is great to use for a Loki cause it has that trim slender look. And it cuts down the paint rub quite significantly too, lol! Great job!

Yeah, I liked the body for that reason. I also chose it because of the BIG shoulders. Although they look wonky on Iron Fist, they look good with Loki's shoulder pads.

Thanks for the all the comments, guys. I appreciate it! I forgot to mention in the recipe that I didn't want smooth out Quicksilver's head, so I grafted the face onto Cyclop's head.

Nice and see I used the original head cause I wanted that crazy smile. But after seeing yours and looking over mine. I am repainting mine cause yours shames mine in overall appearance. Again GREAT JOB.
