I have always been a fan of the GI.Joe Adventure Team and Sci-Fi Horror and Sci-Fi action movies. So I figured I would do a GI.Joe Space Adventurer. Kind of a dark Version that would do anything for money or fame.
The figure is just a run of the meal 12'' figure I picked up for a buck at a garage sale. The beard was sculpted from Green Stuff. The clothes where from other figures. The paint is Testors Enamel paint...yes I did say Enamel. I know Enamel is a big "no no" for most customizers because they say it does not dry on soft rubber and for the most part they are correct. But I have found a way to make it stick and haven't had any problems with it at all. My method is before I apply the Enamel over the soft plastic and I go over it with Model Master Acrylic Flat Clear after it dries. I then paint it with the enamel paints then go back over it with the flat clear acrylic and that method has always worked for me. Plus Enamel is cheaper and in my opinion goes on smoother and is more durable then the water based Acrylic paints out there but again that is my opinion.
