Okay, here goes. Since we were never blessed with a series of action figures based upon the Legion of Super-Heroes animated series, and because most of the others on the 'Realm only seem to want to customize either the animated Brainiac 5 or Kell-El, I decided it was about time that somebody made the animated series' version of Superboy (yes, I know he was called SuperMAN in the series, but when you watch the episodes of season one, you can see that he is really Superboy in design and personality...and the fact that they were originally planning on calling the series "Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes" proves this).
Not much work done here since I used the same recipe here as I did on my previous Superboy (Legion of Super-Heroes Costume) figure. I simply just removed the belt buckle and a fraction of the belt and added on a circular buckle made from the top of a diabetic's lancet (used because of the existing letter "L" on it). Once the glue was dry, I used my detail brush to paint in the gold and black details of the buckle. Next, I applied a new symbol to the figure's chest and cape as the existing ones needed to look like the ones from the series. Afterwards, I drilled a small hole in the middle finger of the right hand pretty close to the knuckle, and after cutting the Legion flight ring out of the right hand of a DC Direct 52 Series 1 Booster Gold figure as a small cyllinder, I inserted it into the right hand and glued it in place. Once the glue on the ring had finally dried, I gave the ring a full repaint in gold, and TA-DA...Superboy in his Legion of Super-Heroes Animated Series costume!!!!
Please let me know what you guys think of him, and as always, comments are appreciated.
