Lorna Dane is a green-haired mutant who can control magnetism, much like her father, Magneto. She has been a member of the X-Men, X-Factor, and the Starjammers. She was also a member of the villainous Marauders when she was posessed by psychic entity Malice.
I chose to make Polaris in my favourite costume of hers, the 1970's Shi'ar one. The base figure is Black Widow, with Ms. Marvel hair, and Spider-Woman shoes. The scarf/cape thingee was made from rubber, and costume details from label tape. The stained-glass effect on the costume was fun to make! Thanks for all the comments, everyone. I appreciate it! I made the 'stained glass' effect by painting the area white, then dabbing various shades of pink and light purple. Then I drew the lines with a sharpee, then retouched in the lines. It turned out well on the back of the costume, which has a larger area that I unfortunately didn't photograph. D'oh! Again, merci.

You nailed the look, and I most definitely have to comment on how amazing the fine detail work you've put in is. The pattern throughout the costume is insanely good! That looks super tedious!

It may be old school, but that's by far the best Polaris outfit Marvel ever came up with and they should have stuck with it. Excellent work, especially on the finer details of the suit; thumbs up!

I'm a huge marvel zombie and I honestly feel a bit ashamed that I don't recognize this costume,but it looks great and the fine paint details are really goo,the stained glass parts are awesome,great job top to bottom and really good choices for parts,I'm diggin it like a shovel!
