This one goes out to a friend and constant innovator, Comicustoms. He did something like this awhile ago, and I tweaked it with some pulpy flavour! I've wanted to get around to this for some time, I just had to get my hands on the parts.
This is the first of a few DCU to Marvel conversions I've been making, so hopefully I'll have the others posted soon.
Recipe
Arms and legs: DCU Kilowog
Torso: Validus
Head: Solomon Grundy
Hands and Feet: Planet Hulk
Ripped jeans: Reworked from old an doll
After assembling this, I sculpted up the shoulders and back of the neck to beef him up a little more. I had to dremil inside the head for it to fit snug, and cut the arms shorter at the wrist to look a little better, then I dremilled the lower arms to fit flush with the planet hulk hands. I also had to dremil the feet to fit the rocker peg from the dcu legs at the ankle.
I also sculpted some extra hair on him and "edited" above his upper lip, and his chin line.
Then it was time to paints. Built up from the darkest green, then dry brushed several layers of lighter green tones. Added the jeans and tore them and aged them up a bit.
Comments and questions are always welcome, and thanks for the view!
( the masteo hulk is only in my fodder box cause I had to buy him together apocolyps leg.)
You seamlessly worked those parts together. Looks natural. And the paint Jon is the same.
Bravo!
-Where are the nipples?...lol!
