Guy Gardener Custom Action Figure

Sassy and frustrated with the Leadership of the Guardians, Guy Gardener lends his own brand of excellence to the Green Lantern Corps. Not favored as much as Hal, John or Kyle, Guy has nothing to prove to anyone but himself.

I like Guy Gardener, and he's one of my favorite Human Lanterns. I like him for his style and for being so very different than your average ordinary hero. I wanted to do this initially for the contest but it did not turn out how I wanted it to, so I post it here instead.

I started with some wrestling figure I have no earthly clue who, he had very short hair and a blonde beard & Moustache with like a brown stripe in the middle of it. The figure was wearing pants that came over his wrestling shoes, so I had to cut them off just below the knees. I then cut the boots off a barely posable Hulk Hogan figure, and attached the boots to the Guy in progress. Then a very weak attempt to sand the laces off the top part of the boots, (one of the points I am unhappy with). Next I had to "shave" off that beard and moustache to make a more "Guy-like" face. This did not go as planned but it gets the point across. It's some of my worst sculpting but done is done. I then sculpted on the uniform parts and boot tucks where I joined the hogan boots. Finally a combination of dry brushed Metallic Greens and painted all the details. The Logo of course is hand painted.
