A LOT of sanding and clipping off of extraneous parts and pieces went in to this guy. Then came the weeks of layers of sculpting being added to try to capture a semi realistic fur look, all done between working on other projects. I finished him off with a series of paint applications from the deepest dark blue to bright electric blue all from Vallejo Paints, finishing with an air brushing of final highlights over a light ink wash. Clear coated with a light Gloss varnish, Beast retains all of his original articulation and for one of the few times in my customizing life, captured the look I wanted ALMOST perfectly. I would like to revisit customizing him in the coming year to go for a more accurate 70s/ 80s Beast look, but after the work that this one was, honestly, I'm not sure that would ever happen.
