Polaris (Lorna Dane) is a mutant super heroine with the ability to control magnetism. She's the daughter of Magneto and she has been involved with teams such as the X-Men and X-Factor. She's had a winding long-term relationship with Havok. She's dealt with many issues from possession to the loss of her powers and she still manages to keep on fighting.
I made Polaris in her 3rd X-Factor blue and gold costume. I sanded, primed, and fully repainted the original figure with high quality acrylics. Her leg bands were fully sculpted with clay. She was sealed with a matte finish. I tried to add a touch of Larry Stroman's Polaris in her facial features and hair. I used a lot of reference material for her costume/hair and also kept a little of the original figure's features for some differences, like her metallic green earrings. I included reference pictures for comparison.
