"I'm an ordinary Earth kid! I'm good at video-games...not other dimensions!"
Boom-Boom / Boomer (Tabitha Smith) is a mutant super heroine with the ability to generate explosive plasma charges as streams of raw energy or in the form of "time bombs." She has been involved with many teams such as the X-Terminators, New Mutants, and X-Force. She was previously an accomplished thief and her interests include boys, fashion, and video games. She's been romantically involved with Cannonball and despite her noisy personality, she's an effective opponent against her enemies.
I made Boom-Boom in a pink costume inspired by a couple of her earlier New Mutants / early X-Force costumes. I dremeled, sanded, primed and fully repainted the original figure with acrylic paint. I tried to include a lot of small details and added glitter to her plasma bomb blast. Her sunglasses came from a classic Guardian figure. I included a picture of what her eyes looked like before I added the sunglasses and reference pictures for comparison.
